New Underwood Tigers Band

Band develops students’ appreciation and understanding of music. Students learn the basic of playing instrumental music and develop their abilities to play an instrument. The class studies and performs the following types of music: pep band, concert band, music, jazz, solo, and small ensemble music. Students will improve their skill and technique on their instrument while developing the ability to play with a group. Students will perform at nor more than one game per week in pep band, when in season. Students must attend all required performances and rehearsals outside of the regular classroom time to successfully complete the course.
Fundraising: Everyone in High School Band (band students in grades 7-12) is required to participate in the fundraising events. We are a team working toward the same goal of a special band performance trip this spring. Please spend the time to raise the money and you’ll be able to enjoy the benefits later!
