• New Underwood School District utilizes a variety of testing media to evaluate the progress and growth of students.  Both in classroom, formal and informal assessments are given and results are posted in Infinite Campus and ultimately reported on student’s report cards as a part of their course grade.  District level assessments through NWEA are administered three times per year for all students to map growth over time.  These results are sent home during conference times and discussed with parents by classroom teachers in the event of celebration or concern.  New Underwood School participates in the South Dakota state tests.  A link to the school’s report card is here https://sdschools.sd.gov/Nimble/asp/Main.aspx. Students in the upper grade levels participate in other assessments such as ACT, SAT, NCRC, Accuplacer, ASVAB, and other applicable assessments related to future planning.
