Parents and School Families! I wanted to remind you that we have Christmas concerts coming up. Elementary on Tuesday December 10th at 6:00 PM. Middle School and High School on Tuesday December 17th at 6:00 PM.


Elementary Tiger Way for November is Graciousness. Graciousness is being courteous, kind and showing gratitude. Nominations for Tiger Way were Amani Morton (Kindergarten), Aurora Rhoden (1st grade), Zaydin Mader (2nd grade), Barrett Johnson (3rd grade), Raines Caspers (4th grade), and Theo Ludeman (5th grade). Recipients of the award was Amani, Aurora, Zaydin (yes, a 3-way tie!) and Raines Caspers. The presenter of the award ceremony was Owen Devlin from 5th grade. Congratulations to all nominees!

Third graders had a visitor on Wednesday, Mr. Aaron Woodward, from NOAA/National Weather Service in Rapid City. Mr. Woodward came to talk about his job working with the weather. Mrs. Morton has great guests in the third grade!

There will not be Feeding South Dakota backpacks provided during the week of November 25-November 29, 2024, and December 23-December 27, 2024, due to the Thanksgiving and Christmas holidays.

Under the Covers Book Club will not meet again until December 9th at 6pm at the New Underwood Community Library. We wrapped up the book Anxious People by Fredrick Backman and have chosen a new book to read.... drum roll (inserted here) and it's The Boyfriend authored by Freida McFadden. We agreed to have read through chapter 10, in case you are wondering! Please join us at 6pm on 12/9 at the NU Library!

New Underwood's Book Club will meet November 19th at 6PM. We are planning on meeting up at Moe's in NU. We will have at this date completed the book Anxious People by Fredrik Backman. It's a good one if you need a great read! The goal of the next meeting is to discuss the final chapters of the book, decide on the next book and when to begin meeting again. If you're interested in joining Under the Covers Book Club, bring a couple of your To Be Read titles November 19th. Hope to see you there!
