The third graders were given a book through Black Hills Reads and United Way.
It is called Juana and Lucas written by Juana Medina.
The book is being read in class, and we are having discussions. There are also Spanish words embedded in the book the students are being exposed to.
The books are free for the kids to keep.
The New Underwood Student Activities Council is selling fruit and other items. If you want to place an order, please email Mrs. Brasfield at Brandi.Ballard@k12.sd.us. All orders must be placed by Sunday, November 10th. The estimated delivery date is between December 2nd and December 19th. Thank you for supporting our students.
