Hello Tiger Fans. We hope you can make it to today's Double Header vs. Bennett Co.; there is a lot in store for you. NHS will be selling 50/50 tickets and chocolate covered strawberries. Funds raised will go towards future NHS projects and the American Heart Association. The Tiny Tiger Cheerleaders will also be performing at half time of the varsity boy’s game. Please come out & support your Tigers, Lady Tigers, and Tiny Tigers.

The Junior class attended the Sturgis Brown High School career fair today. Representatives from multiple businesses, colleges, and universities were present to answer any and all of their questions.

This past week, we celebrated the December graduation of one of our very own teachers, Lindsay Young. Lindsay is our second-grade teacher this year. Over the past couple of years, she has been actively involved in the para-professional to teacher program, through the state of South Dakota. With the help of her mentor, Kylee Heinert, Lindsay was able to fulfill her dream of becoming a teacher. We are so proud, and honored, to have her as one of our very own New Underwood Elementary teachers! Lindsay, congratulations on earning your teaching certificate!

Elementary Tiger Way for January was Respect. Respect is treating yourself and others with kindness and exhibiting moral behavior. Nominees for respect were Bodie Johnson (K), Nevaeh Rider (1st), Taylor Tivis (2nd), Tessa Henrikson (3rd), Drea Morton (4th) and Cooper Fuerst (5th). Loren Rausch was the presenter for the assembly. Recipients of the Tiger Way Respect award went to Tessa Henrikson (3rd), Taylor Tivis (2nd) and Bodie Johnson (K). Congratulations to all our nominees!
