September 10th-12th, the first two of four classroom buildings are being set on site.
This temporarily impacts parking and traffic this week. Please do not park near the construction site or on the east side of the school this week.
To help us, we ask that you do what you can to carpool or otherwise minimize the number of cars at school for the remainder of the week.

Under the Covers Book Club met yesterday to discuss the first section of American Black Widow by Gregg Oleson. The book is intense and if you like psychological thrillers, based on a true story, you'll enjoy this book. We are a small group, but we have a lot of fun! We are reading through book 2 or through chapter 21 and planning to meet again on Wednesday, September 17th at 5pm in the NU Library! Join us!!

One of our very own 7th graders just won Jr. Miss Newell Labor Day, this past weekend. Shealynn, we are so proud of you!! Congratulations.
Ms. Pickett's 4th grade class from 2024-2025 wrote letters to the President of the US. Over the summer, Ms. Picket received a packet from the White House addressed to her, and her fourth-grade class. Each student got a letter from the President, as did Ms. Pickett. What a wonderful opportunity!

New Underwood School partners with Feeding South Dakota's Backpack Program. Participation forms are going out to all elementary students today. Middle School and High School students can access the form from the New Underwood School website.
