Reminder to all K-6 parents: If you signed your student(s) up for Tiny Tigers cheer, the first practice is scheduled for Monday, January 6, 2025 at 4:00pm. Drop off is at the lunchroom door and pickup is at 5:00pm. All practice dates and times were provided in the information sheet that was provided with the registration form. On Tuesday, students from the National Honor Society and the MS/HS band went to the Good Sam Nursing Home. The NHS brought gifts that had been collected from the Angel Tree, and the band students offered residents some holiday cheer by playing Christmas Carols. Also being delivered were Christmas cards from the 4th & 5th grade students. In the week prior, 3rd grade made Grinch posters to be hung throughout the nursing home.
The votes were tallied, and the winner of the door decorating contest... was the Kindergarten class!! Their idea of having a Santa door made them the winning class. Enjoy that trophy, Kindergarten! Merry Christmas.
Mrs. Rudebusch's 7th grade science students made sourdough starters (weeks ago) and today was the day to finally make sourdough pancakes. The vote came in, and about half the class actually liked them!! Good job, Mrs. Rudebusch!
Second grade students got to build Gingerbread Houses on Tuesday. They all turned out very cute!!
Students in third grade has bowling pins donated by Ms. Sam's mom. They then turned the bowling pins into a Santa or a snowman, and gave them as a gift to someone in their family. Too cute!!
Students in 6th grade took a break from their normal routine to take the Hunt SAFE certification course with Mr. Tussing. Students practiced safe firearm handling, learned about South Dakota hunting rules & regulations, and discussed other best practices for hunting safely. They wrapped up this two-week course today by taking the final test. All of the students successfully passed the course, earning their Hunt SAFE certification card.
Enthusiasm is December's Tiger Way attribute! Here are the nominees for December's Enthusiasm; Keira Condon (Kindergarten), Joanna Stewart (1st grade), Dax Phillips (2nd grade), Arrow Dolan (3rd grade), Ryan Moser (4th grade) and Jacob Hall (5th grade). The award recipients were Keira Condon, Arrow Dolan and Ryan Moser! The Tiger Way presenter was Rio Lanka. Congratulations!
